One of the things that made me most excited after getting engaged was to ask my sister, best friend, and future sister in-law to be in our bridal party! I knew they would all say yes and of course I couldn’t wait until I made them a fun gift! But after they had all said yes I decided I wanted to make them something special. I’ve seen lots of fun bridal party boxes online and decided I wanted to make my own for these very special girls!
I got the boxes on Etsy at Decadent Designs! They have lots of cute stuff for your wedding but these boxes just won over my heart! I decided for the girls to put their monogram on them! I also got some for our guys with just their last initial on them. I made some fun groomsmen boxes for them for the bachelor party!
On the inside I also had them put Will you be my Maid of Honor, Matron of Honor, and Bridesmaid for each girl! I felt like this was a very special touch!
I decided to stain mine with a grey stain. I felt like this gave it a drift wood look and since we are having a beach town wedding I thought this would be perfect! The stain did not stay on the sides but I thought it they still turned out great!
After I stained them I decoupaged some scrapbook paper into the bottom. This is actually the paper I will be using for the belly bands on my invitations! I love this paper and I thought it looked nice with the stain.
Then I started putting together what would go in the boxes. I’d heard of people using paint chips so that they could share their wedding colors with their family and I thought this was a genius idea. I decided to put them on key rings so they would stay together and could be a quick reference. I also made these for my mom, future mother in-law, and my aunts!
I then made a little info guide about the wedding. I’ve seen these in a couple places and just had to make my own! I put a little bit about the girls in the bridal party, their role on the day of, their dresses, and some information about the wedding itself.
This didn’t have everything but it kind of gave them a heads up of what they were going to be doing and how the wedding would go. Also, colors and who they’d be standing up with! I was really excited to make this part and I feel like they turned out perfect!
I then put it all together in the boxes along with one of the flowers we are using in the centerpieces and a save the date. I sent these out before I sent out the save the dates so that they would get to see them first! I was so excited to share these perfect gifts with my girls! They absolutely loved them and thought they were perfect. My sister decided to keep some of jewelry we got from our grandmother in hers, so they can also be used for other things after the wedding!
