Throwback Thursday: Repurposed Drawer Table
Awhile back I made a series of projects out of drawers. At the time I was blogging at a different blog and maybe ten people saw the posts. That is very generous and assuming my MIL could find my blog that day. I really liked some of these early projects and decided to give them some love on Throwback Thursday. If these are new to you enjoy.
I love repurposing with old drawers. This one was made using four spindles for legs and turning the drawer upside down to make a table top. I used scrap wood to make the table more stable by adding a stretcher. The construction is very rough but when finished it turned out fine.
The reason I chose this drawer for the table is that I found the front of the drawer pleasing to look at. I liked the clean lines.
Half way through construction I decided to add an additional shelf to the table. The shelf serves two purposes, it adds storage space and covers the stretcher and makes the table look more finished.
I used the table on the patio as an end table and later as a small potting table.

You did such a great job! I love the color you chose too. I hope your having a great week.

The color is so chic! I just finished painting a really well built but old night stand my husband has had since college. I went with bright orange so I am also loving your bright table. You do like drawer projects but they always turn out so interesting. Can’t wait to see what you do next with one, haha.
