4th of July Banner and Dollar Store Redo
I love the 4th of July and decorating for it. Many 4ths my family has been traveling and are at a lake, river or the beach. Staying in a cabin, hotel room or condo does not lend itself to decoration. When we pack we always have more than we need and packing a box of decorations would not be a popular move. What is great about this craft is that it is easy, cheap and does not take up much room. You can only swim, sun, play or be active for so long and then everyone needs a shower and rest time. This would be a great activity for the kids to do while you are cooking dinner, or to do with the girls while the the hubbys are at the bar-b-que.
What You Will Need
I bought the banner and jewels at the dollars store. I printed out the graphics and used sissors to cut them out. I attached the graphics to the banner using double sided tape. To add to the holiday feel I edged the graphics with stick on jewels. This would be such a fun activity to do at the table while everyone is waiting for dinner or over coffee in the morning. Crafting is like driving, you want someone to talk to you craft with them. Your hands are busy and the words come. I love to craft during holidays because such great conversations happen with the younger generation.

Magnet
I had an extra cutout and decided I wanted to make a magnet. Wouldn’t these be cute for the kids to make to share with the neighbors?
All this involves is gluing the graphic onto a canning lid and edging it with stick on jewels.
The last step is attaching a magnet to the back. So easy!
Showing the magnet off in a drawer redo we completed recently.
Downloads of the graphics can be found here and here!

Hey! I could have sworn I’ve been to this site before but after browsing through some of the
post I realized it’s new to me. Anyhow, I’m definitely happy I found it and I’ll be book-marking and checking back often!
