If you’ve ever been to an airport or mall and had a cinnabon cinnamon roll you know what heaven is! They are so delicious and you can’t resist them. I never thought that would be able to make one myself but when my fiance found this recipe we had to make it!!! It is actually a really easy recipe and the result is out of this world! The original Clone of a Cinnabon recipe is on Allrecipes.com but we didn’t use a bread machine to make these!

- 1 cup warm milk (110 degrees F/45 degrees C)
- 2 eggs, room temperature
- 1/3 cup margarine, melted
- 4 1/2 cups bread flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 2 1/2 teaspoons yeast
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 1/2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
- 1/3 cup butter, softened
- 1 (3 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup butter, softened
- 1 1/2 cups confectioners' sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- Put yeast in the warm milk and then add the sugar. Let this sit for a few minutes.
- Mix eggs, margarine, and salt together.
- Add the yeast mix and then slowly add all the flour.
- Roll into a ball and put in a bowl and let it rise for around 2 hours or until it had doubled in sized.
- After the dough has doubled in size turn it out onto a lightly floured surface, cover and let rest for 10 minutes.
- In a small bowl, combine brown sugar and cinnamon.
- Roll dough into a 16x21-inch rectangle.
- Spread dough with 1/3 cup butter and sprinkle evenly with sugar/cinnamon mixture.
- Roll up dough and cut into 12 rolls. Place rolls in a lightly greased 9x13 inch baking pan.
- Cover and let rise until nearly doubled, about 30 minutes. Meanwhile, preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
- Bake rolls in preheated oven until golden brown, about 15 minutes.
- While rolls are baking, beat together cream cheese, 1/4 cup butter, confectioners' sugar, vanilla extract and salt.
- Spread frosting on warm rolls before serving.
- We didn't use a bread machine to make these so we used just regular yeast.
To make the dough we mixed the warm milk, yeast in sugar in a mug and let it sit for a while. We then added this to the eggs, margarine, and salt. Then added the flour in after everything was mixed. We needed it like you do with bread to make a ball. We let the ball rise in a bowl for around 2 hours.
Roll it out into a rectangle shape that will be easy to roll up.
Added the melted butter over all of the flattened dough. Then spread out the brown sugar and cinnamon mix evenly.
Slowly and tightly roll the flattened dough.
Once it is rolled then cut the pieces evenly to make your cinnamon rolls. We left off the ends so that they would all be flat on both sides.
Put them in your pan and let them sit 30-45 minutes and rise again. We let ours rise closer to 45 minutes to let them get a little bigger.
Once they have risen they are ready to bake! You will bake them for 12-15 minutes or until brown. While these are baking you can mix the cream cheese icing. Combine the cream cheese, butter, vanilla, powdered sugar, and salt until it has the consistency of icing.
Once they are baked add the icing to the top. We added it while it was still hot so that it would melt over the cinnamon rolls.
They are now ready to serve! You will truly think that you have gone to heaven after eating one of these! They taste so much like a cinnabon and you will want to eat the whole pan!

You know, I don’t think I’ve ever had a Cinnabon! I’ve certainly smelled them when rushing through a few airports, but I don’t think I’ve ever had one. These look awesome, and I love that you have cream cheese in the icing. Definitely have to pin this one to try!
