What could be better than Easter Eggs and Spring and a Spring banner? This post has both plus I am sharing one of my favorite junk finds. I don’t have words to even describe what I found at a flea market several months ago. I think at one time it was used in some sort of display. It is very rough and folk artish. I bought it for less than a Starbuck’s coffee which is an added bonus. It has been in my garage waiting to make it’s debut. It seemed perfect for Easter Eggs.
This is a better view of the display. It is 24 inches long and 15 inches high. It has a handle and a crank on one side. The crank makes the four trays move in a circular motion.
This is a view of the crank. I am in major junk love with the crank. When I saw it at the flea market I could not believe how cheap it was and that I was the only one interested in it. Everyone at my house who has seen it is not surprised I was the only one interested in it. Sometimes it is hard to hang out with people who don’t have vision!
I wish I could tell you I hand painted and splattered each beautiful egg. I did not! I bought these beautiful eggs at Hobby Lobby. They were inexpensive and perfect for this project.
I love the lavender eggs. Even though I loved how the project was turning out I knew it would not be complete with out a banner. I put “Spring” on the banner rather than Easter because I love it so much it may be on my side table through the middle of May.
The download looks brighter than the banner I made because I ran the download off on beige colored paper. If you download the banner and use it remember to send us a picture! We love to see our “babies” in their new homes!
