Salt Hand Scrub | Craft Dictator

When we were on vacation, one of the restuarant’s we ate at had an amazing salt scrub in their restrooms. I was too cheap to buy it thinking, “I could make that”.  Today I spent some time getting ready for Valentines.  I love Valentines Day because it is a chance to tell those around you how much you care and appreciate them. One of things I made was scented salt scrub.  It was easy to make and was very economical because most of the ingredients I already had.

To this mixture I added lemon zest and lavender oil.  In one batch I blended the oil with dried lavender also. It smells great and the ground lavender adds a great texture, but it is brown. I like it but will probably keep it for my self because of the color.

The next step was the packaging.  Presentation can be so important.  I made some labels that I liked and added them to the containers (Dollar Store) that I had filled with scrub.

I think my favorite part of this is the bamboo spoons that I am attaching to each scrub.  At Christmas I bought some bamboo serving spoons.  I did not use all of them and I cut off the bottom (about three inches) and then sanded the cut.  They made cute spoons for dipping the scrub.

Each one will have a bow and spoon before it is delivered on Valentine’s Day.  We have a folder with all the Valentine free printables we will be featuring.  We hope they help you tell those around you how much you care.

  1. I love them! What a wonderful gift idea. I often make my own sugar and salt scrubs because it’s pretty simple. Plus, have you ever looked at the added ingredients to the store bought kind? Sulfur and blahdy blah…never good stuff and not usually what I want to rub on my skin. I’m curious though, you said your lavender flowers browned? Hmm

  3. I Have Come Across That Today, More And More People Are Increasingly Being Attracted To Camcorders And The Field Of Taking Pictures. However, Like A Photographer, You Should First Spend So Much Of Your Time Deciding The Model Of Digicam To Buy And Moving Store To Store Just So You Can Buy The Cheapest Camera Of The Brand You Have Decided To Pick Out. But It Doesn’t End Generally There. You Also Have To Take Into Account Whether You Can Purchase A Digital Photographic Camera Extended Warranty.
