Back in the old days women regularly gathered to quilt and talk. Our lives are so busy that the thought of spending a whole day sewing or crafting seems out of the question. During the Thanksgiving holidays I organized a craft party with the girls in my family. After dinner, paper, ornaments, Mod Podge, paint and sissors were brought out and the creativity flowed.
The crafting was fun but what was best was the interaction. The talking and laughing were what made the day so special. Some painted, some cut, and Mod Podge flowed. None of the creations will be reposted 10,000 times on Pinterest but the closeness will always be remembered.
I think this picture says it all!!
I used some of the ornaments we made when I decorated the mantel. I think the purpose of this post is not to teach you how to use Mod Podge but to remind all of us that is the connections in life that matter. How many views, posts and followers are great but human interaction and connections are what is most important.
