Last week I posted Planning For Christmas which was about preparing before the last minute saves me time and also results in more meaningful presents for my family and friends. As we get closer to Christmas the cookie baking season has started. Anytime you bake wonderful cookies for others you have to have a container to share them in. I have gone Christmas crazy and have designed some cute cheap boxes to share cookies in.
I started with these boxes. All had been previously used and were in need of spiffing up.
The first box was inspired by the picture above that I found on Pinterest. There is no weblink for the picture. I wish I knew where it came from. I love the colors in the photo.
This is reality. The green paint I already had was lighter than the previous picture and I thought it was dark enough. I wish I had gone to get new spray paint. In the second photo I repainted it with a darker green.
The next two boxes are recycled boxes that I saved during the year. The paper decoupaged on the tops came from the Paper Source. This is not a sponsored link but I wish it was. I love Paper Source.
I loved this paper. I got carried away with glitter but I love the way it turned out.
This box is a small wooden box I bought at Goodwill. I decoupaged the map of Europe on the top. Just to let a few key family members know, this box is in the kitchen in case you want to borrow it and fill it with a travel itinerary for me to open on Christmas morning. Just saying!!!
Like I said earlier I may have gone crazy with the glitter and stick on jewels. My inner child took over.
The last is a candlestick that I glue a metal coaster onto. I am going to stack it high with cookies and wrap the whole thing in cellophane.
The last step was to bake up a great batch of cookies and fill these containers to give to friends and family.

When you make boxes that pretty, its almost a gift all by itself…in addition to the cookies! You are very creative, and I think anyone would enjoy receiving one of those (especially the one with a map of Europe and tickets to somewhere!)
