This cute, little beauty has had a hard life. When I got it it was missing a drawer. The drawer you see now is not the one it had originally. It’s one original drawer, that I had waiting in the garage for over 6 months met a tragic end. One night someone pulled too far in and the drawer will never be the same. In a funk I threw the drawer away. If you have followed some of my redoes you know I try to salvage everything. So now I have a side table with no drawers and no shelves. There was nothing under the drawers. I do not have any pictures of it during the time because I was so heart broken over the loss of the one drawer that I gave up. I was going to put in shelves, paint it white and donate it to a women’s shelter. But as I got the planking put in I starting liking the project again.
I bought a drawer at the Restore that I thought might fit. It did not fit perfect but it was not bad at all.
Now with my drawer in place the question was what to put on the other shelf. I felt like the prince looking for Cinderella. I brought every basket, bucket, container, etc. to the garage for a try-out.
Then early this week I was in Tuesday Morning and bought two containers for my closet. When I got home I could not believe how well they worked with this piece of furniture.
These containers have made me want to make some fabric baskets for additional storage. But that is another post…..
