I decided today I would talk about my most recent quilt I’ve finished.  I made this for my best friends wedding present but I fell in love with it along the way.  I got the pattern at the International quilt festival along with the stencil to cut everything out. The pattern is called Insider Trading by Swirly Girl Designs! Here is the quilt after we laid it all out before I sewed the rows together.  I used Moda fabric I found on sale for the pieces.
After my mother helped me applique the circles on we pieced it together.  My mom is a savior when it comes to thinks I don’t sew well (like circles!)
And this is the final product!  It ended up being a queen size quilt so it was hard to find somewhere to take its picture.  I love it so much I almost didn’t give it up, but I knew she would love it too!
I had it professionally quilted by Missouri Quilt Co. and got it quilted with hearts.  I went back and forth about this but I think the hearts were perfect!  They do an amazing job if you  need a quilt quilted!
I have a lot more quilts to post but I figured I’d start with this one because its one of my favorite quilts I’ve made!
Also, my mom has an awesome blog called http://obsessiivelyandcreative.blogspot.com/ . She has lots of super cute stuff that she has repurposed!
