Tonight I decided to make taco salad for dinner. Instead of just using a basic recipe I decided to add some stuff I just had sitting around in my pantry.
First I cooked the ground beef (12 oz of beef or 3/4 lb). Once it was cooked I drained it and washed it off.
Then I added the taco seasoning with 3/4 cup of water on top of the ground beef.
Next, I added a small can of corn, a can of pinto beans, a can of black beans, and some diced tomatoes with peppers.
Once I added all this to the pan I put it on high heat for about 5 minutes until it was all warmed up and some of the water boiled off.
I then put it over lettuce with some avacado on the side.
I will definitely make it again. It gave me that taco taste without a whole lot of chips or tortillas!
